You should find that the version of Cyberlink PowerDVD on the following link will work on your laptop. I know that there is a similar thread here but from 2014 and the links it contains no longer work. It came as a preinstalled software and I want to - if someone could tell me how I can get back that would be great, or even if just to tell me that there is no way to do it myself (I'm no tech-y person kind) and I need to get directly in touch with HP I would appreciate it. I also tried to search for the HP Recovery Manager as well and no results back - does that mean that I have not installed? (I do not understand how it is possible.) Go to the page of software and the drivers from the HP site and enter my laptop model to see if it happens it is futile. Here, I have the files for Cyberlink PowerDVD, including a configuration file, but I have no idea how to reinstall it using these files, or even if you can. I recently had my University computer technicians replace my faulty hard drive, but unfortunately, it seems that it was too much for them actually reinstall my software, rather put all my existing files into a single large folder entitled "old HD data.
